Aloe Vera is a great natural skincare solution and with this changing weather and back to school/work stress, dry skin can be an issue, this is where Aloe Vera comes in very handy.
Aloe Vera is moisturising, nourishing, hydrating and penetrates deep into skin and cleanses it deeply as it is full of anti-oxidants. It’s anti-ageing, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties mean that it is an all-round skin saver! What more could you ask for?! Here are a couple of face masks you might like to try. Remember to patch test before you apply this all over your face to avoid any unwanted reactions!
First up: Overnight Aloe Mask
Another ingredient in this mask is Rose Water which is a natural toner that balances skin pH, unclogs pores and evens out skin tone. It is also a great skin moisturizer and hydrator.
You will need:
- 2 tbsp. of Aloe Vera Gel (freshly extracted or store bought organic 100% aloe vera gel)
- 1 tbsp. Rose Water
- 1-2 drops of Lavender, Tea Tree Oil, Rose Essential Oil (optional)
Put 2 tbsp. Aloe Vera Gel into a bowl. Add 2 tbsp rose water and give it a thorough mix. Apply this combination mask on cleansed skin before bedtime.
The mask will dry up in no time. Wash it off in the morning. Follow this routine before bedtime regularly.
Another Mask to try: Aloe Vera and Tomato (this is great at brightening skin)
You will need:
- 2 tbsp. aloe vera gel (freshly extracted or store bought organic 100% aloe vera)
- 1 tbsp. tomato juice
Mix 2 tbsp. of fresh aloe Vera gel and 1 tbsp. of tomato juice into a bowl. Apply to face. Leave on for for 45 minutes or overnight then rinse off.
